Job Details
As we continue to grow, we are now looking for a Senior Game Programmer to join our Programming team.
As a Senior Game Programmer, you will be responsible for working with the programming and tools teams to create effective standardised processes that can be replicated across projects. You will work closely with the Creative Studio Lead - Bangalore, Junior & Game Programmers, and the wider marketing creative team. Together, you will drive greater success for our entire game portfolio by creating engaging advertising content and innovative in-game elements.
This is a permanent role based in our Bangalore studio, where our daily in-office collaboration fuels creativity and innovation. If you're not already based locally, we’ll support your move with comprehensive relocation assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Work on the creation of standardised processes and tools to enhance content production efficiency.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices and development methods.
- Collaborate with the marketing creative team to edit and adapt games in Unity for compelling advertising content.
- Think creatively to develop scenarios and visuals that attract users to our games.
- Produce concept documents and ideas, and support team members with their concepts.
- Create high-quality in-Unity content captures and develop unique in-game elements for marketing use.
- Stay updated on trends and industry developments to generate new ad ideas.
- Maximise IPMs (installs per thousand impressions) and reduce CPIs for user acquisition content through strategic creative production.
- Write high-quality, purpose-driven code that adheres to company standards.
- Collaborate with technical staff to establish software development best practices.
- Participate in content ideation, develop creative concepts, and present them to the team.
- Archive playable for easy retrieval and reuse to avoid redundant production.
- Ensure playable meet quality standards for testing and collaborate with the QA team to resolve issues.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, devices, and operating systems to ensure the creation of relevant and up-to-date playable.
- Reduce costs and increase revenue to maximise profits.
- Report and communicate with the Head of Digital Marketing regarding job-related matters.
- Comply with the company's mission statement, procedures, strategies, and tactics.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Digital Marketing, VP of Marketing, COO, or CEO.
Requirements:
- Experience in creating standardized programming processes and tools.
- Strong mentoring and leadership skills to support junior programmers.
- Proficiency in Unity for game content adaptation and advertising integration.
- Creativity in designing scenarios and engaging visual content.
- Knowledge of software development best practices and high-quality coding standards.
- Ability to analyze trends and competitor developments for innovative ad concepts.
- Skills in archiving and maintaining reusable assets.
- Understanding of IPMs and CPIs to optimize creative performance.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Passion for gaming and driving commercial success through innovative programming.
- Based in our Bangalore office with 5 days per week on-site.
