Senior Systems Engineer

What will you work on?

As the Senior Systems Administrator, reporting to the ITS – Infrastructure Operations team, you will manage and optimize in-house computer software systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security for business applications. You will participate in strategic planning, deployment, and support of the company’s infrastructure, working closely with the network engineering and database administration teams to meet organizational objectives.

How will you create impact?

• Lead capacity planning and long-term strategy development for systems and software in alignment with business goals.
• Deploy and maintain essential hardware, including workstations, servers, and security systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation across the company.
• Conduct server and security audits, manage backup procedures, and implement disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with the network team to maintain smooth and reliable system operations, meeting the demands of business processes and objectives.
• Develop and document system configurations, backup processes, and service protocols to uphold security and operational standards.
• Act as an escalation point for server-related issues, providing responsive and effective support to ensure continuity and minimize disruptions.

What are your skills and experience?

• Experience in systems administration and infrastructure management.
• Expertise in endpoint security, including antivirus, anti-malware, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services and technologies, especially Azure, AWS, and Active Directory.
• Proficiency in SQL databases, PowerShell scripting, automation, and orchestration tools.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, network architecture, and disaster recovery.
