Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the ADTRAN Ensemble Network Controller team, designing and developing ethernet management features for large-scale telecom carrier-class environments. You will be involved in a fast-paced, Agile development team using cutting-edge technologies. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and verifying software applications, as well as debugging and troubleshooting system software. The role requires participation in telecom/datacom product design life cycles.
Must have:
  • BE/BTech in Computer Science or related field
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Springboot, MySQL/Postgres
  • Strong knowledge of Java 11 development
Good to have:
  • Development experience on Windows and Linux OS
  • Experience with IntelliJ IDEA, TeamCity, and Upsource
  • Experience with Gradle, GIT, and SVN
  • Experience with REST, SNMP, MIBs, Netconf yang
  • Experience with JavaFX
  • Experience with Junit, Mockito, Robot Framework, Python, NMS/EMS

As a member of the ADTRAN Ensemble Network Controller team, you will design and develop ethernet management features for use in large scale telecom carrier-class environments. ADTRAN Ensemble Network Controller is a feature rich, highly scalable Network Management System deployed by hundreds of customers around the world, supporting tens of thousands of network nodes. You will be an integral member of a fast paced, Agile development team working with leading edge technologies and telecommunications equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Design and develop software applications. 

•    Perform verification of software functionality. 

•    Capable of debugging and troubleshooting system software. 

•    Participated in a least one full telecom/datacom product design life cycles working in multiple system areas. 

Basic Qualifications:

BE/BTech degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field is preferred.

•  At Least 2-4 years of active experience.  

Mandatory hands-on experience on Java, springboot, MySQL/Postgres are

required.

•    Strong Knowledge and experience with Java 11 software development.

•  Experience with all areas of Software design methods and design flow.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Development experience on Windows and Linux operating systems. 
•    IntelliJ IDEA, TeamCity and Upsource
•    Gradle, GIT and SVN
•    REST, SNMP, MIBs, Netconf yang
•    JavaFX
•    Junit, Mockito, Robot Framework, Python, NMS/EMS

Success Criteria:

•    Good self-organization “Self-starter, get things done” mindset.
•    Desire and ability to learn.
•    Solid understanding of data communications networking with an emphasis on Ethernet technologies. Industry standards awareness is a plus.
•    May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist.
