Job Description

The Software Technologist II - Java Cloud role involves designing and developing scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud. The role requires building and maintaining robust APIs adhering to RESTful and event-driven architecture, as well as deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using AWS. Candidates will work with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB schemas, and messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS, and SNS. The role also embraces serverless patterns where applicable using AWS services.
Must have:
  • Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation
  • Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration using ECS
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation
  • Database expertise in PostgreSQL or DynamoDB
  • Proficiency in messaging systems: RabbitMQ, SQS, and SNS
  • Familiarity with DDD, RESTful API design, and event-driven systems
  • Exposure to serverless design patterns
Good to have:
  • Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK)
  • Understanding of secure coding and cloud security best practices

Job Description

Your role:

  • Design and develop scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud

  • Build and maintain robust APIs adhering to RESTful and event-driven architecture

  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, CloudFormation)

  • Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them with ECS/EKS

  • Write Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

  • Work with  PostgreSQL and DynamoDB schemas

  • Work with messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS, and SNS

  • Embrace serverless patterns where applicable using AWS services



You're the right fit if:

  • 5- 9 years Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud

  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture
