Design and develop highly scalable, available, and reliable Ads & Monetization platforms handling billions of requests daily. Partner with architects and cross-team members to build high-volume backend systems. Take ownership of projects, managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Translate business needs into development/design tasks. Provide technical direction and mentorship. Be a role model for engineering best practices. This role requires expertise in Java, system design, performance analysis, and experience with NoSQL systems like Bigtable and HBase. Experience with AdTech platforms (Ads Monetization, Serving, Demand Side Platform) is preferred.
Must have:
  • 5+ years experience leading development of high-performing services in Java
  • Experience designing architecture for large-scale distributed systems
  • Expert knowledge in Java, System Design, and Performance Analysis
  • Experience with NoSQL systems (Bigtable, HBase)
  • AdTech platform experience preferred

Your role within Activision Blizzard Media

  • Design and develop highly scalable, available and reliable Ads & Monetization platform that handles billions of requests per day
  • Partner with architects, senior engineers and cross team members to build high volume backend systems
  • Take complete ownership and manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise
  • Work with the product team to understand the business needs and translate them into development/design tasks
  • Provide technical directions and mentorship to other engineers
  • Be a role model in engineering best practices and design/coding standards for delivering high quality products

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability leading the development of highly performing services in Java
  • 2+ years of experience in designing overall architecture and design for large scale distributed systems
  • Experience with AdTech platforms preferred like Ads Monetization, Serving, Demand Side Platform, etc.
  • Experience with NoSQL systems e.g., Bigtable, HBase
  • Expert knowledge in Java, System Design and Performance Analysis
  • Experience working with Multi-threading, Asynchronous, Streaming technologies

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $71,300.00 - $131,906.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
