Job Description

The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and initiating activities such as purchase requisitions, transfers, and rework to align supply with sales orders and forecasts. This role involves identifying and analyzing the root causes of stock-outs and overstock situations, proposing improvement plans, and acting as the primary communication channel with suppliers for on-order items and forecast demand. The planner will review Critical To Build (CTB) for critical components, ensure on-time delivery performance with vendors, and collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Logistics, and Marketing to manage incoming deliveries and outgoing customer orders. Additionally, the role requires working with Demand Planning and Channel Marketing to understand forecasts, manage supplier forecasts, and handle End-of-Life (EOL) and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities. Continuous evaluation and recommendation of supply chain improvements, collaboration on sponsored projects with cost analysis, and identification and communication of supply chain disruptions are also key responsibilities. Attending NPI core-team meetings to integrate NPI requirements and ensure successful new product launches is expected.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of Supply Chain Planning experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Experience with MRP, analytics, and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI)
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to manage large datasets via Excel/BI tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in speaking and reading Mandarin and English
Good to have:
  • High volume High Tech / Consumer Electronics experience
  • Oracle EBS/Cloud/SCM experience
  • APICS/ASCM or other supply chain accreditations

Job Details

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Plan, analyze and initiate activities (Purchase Requisition, transfer, rework) for supply alignment to sales orders and forecasts
• Identify the need for and execute root cause analysis of stock outs, late and overstock situations and propose improvement plans to minimize inventory exposure and maximize revenue.
• Act as the main supplier or factory communication conduit for on-order items and forecast demand.
• Review CTB for critical components with suppliers or raw materials needed for assembly in factory and take action accordingly
• Work closely with vendor to ensure on-time delivery performance and compliance
• Engage cross-functionally with Customer Service, Logistics, Marketing to prioritize/allocate incoming deliveries, reserve incoming supply and manage outgoing customer orders in a manner to ensure on-time customer deliveries
• Work closely with Demand Planning, Channel Marketing to understand 52 week forecast and manage Supplier Forecasts, EOL and NPI activities
• Continually evaluate and recommend improvements to respective supply chain
• Collaborate on sponsored projects and/or process improvements (including associated cost analysis)
• Identify and communicate supply chain disruptions to internal cross functional groups and spearhead resolution actions.
• Attend NPI core-team meetings to integrate NPI requirements and ensure new product launch success.

REQUIRED:
• 5+ years of Supply Chain Planning experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Supply Chain / Operations Management / Industrial Engineering etc.)
• Experience using MRP, analytics and reporting tools like PowerBI
• Experience collaborating and influencing cross functional stakeholders to identify and synchronize on action plans
• Ability to understand & manage large datasets via Excel/BI tools to distill and report product segment overviews, trends, and summaries.
• Professional integrity in all internal and external engagements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to speak and read Mandarin and English
