Oil and Gas company needs a Flow Management support engineer

Responsibilities

To perform daily operation to support the prod

Skills

Must have

Ability to understand wiring diagrams, hooking up low voltage electronics, running sensor and networking cables

Understanding of Hazardous Area Classifications with regards to electronic devices (Sensors, PLCs, Computers, HMIs)

Fundamental understanding of computer networking and troubleshooting

Experience working with sensors (pressure, temperature, flow)

Control System Protocols

OPC-UA, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet (Minimum 1 of these. They don't have to be experts, just general experience and knowledge)

PLCs

Siemens, Allen Bradley (Preferred experience with Siemens, They don't have to be programmers, just general experience and knowledge)

Linux Devices

SSH, Command Line Interface (Network configuration, troubleshooting, executing scripts)

Knowledge of wireless communications and architectures (Radio networks ex: LoRaWAN, WirelessHART)

Nice to have

Message Brokers

MQTT, RMQ (Just general awareness of what they are, how they are used)

Containerization

Docker, Kubernetes
