Job Description

Manage and supervise warehouse team members engaged in loading, unloading, and moving/storing materials. Assign tasks based on shipping schedules, train new team members for consistency and accuracy, and ensure adherence to safety and hygiene guidelines. Comfortably work in a fast-paced, diverse environment, following company policies. Responsibilities include establishing operational procedures for shipment verification, material handling, and inventory management; implementing cycle counting; managing team tasks for receiving, storing, and loading products; controlling departmental costs and preparing budgets; compiling warehouse statistics; overseeing recycling items; maintaining a safe work environment compliant with OSHA and other regulations; identifying and responding to potential problems; inspecting warehouse equipment; overseeing housekeeping; ensuring audit and 5's readiness; visiting stores to monitor product quality; maintaining confidentiality; fostering positive interdepartmental relationships; staying knowledgeable of external audit standards; ensuring TDR policy adherence; and verifying PIT operator training and SOPs. Also responsible for coaching team members, facilitating daily meetings, recruiting, hiring, training, minimizing turnover, ensuring warehouse safety and accuracy, managing timecards and PTO, filling in as a team member as needed (less than 20% of work time), maintaining positive customer relations, directing salvage, attending leadership training, verifying and validating timecards and working schedules, contracts, and account payables, maintaining warehouse supplies, working with temp agencies, making rapid decisions for warehouse growth, mentoring team members, and maintaining working relationships with COE departments.

BACK-TO-BACK SUPPLY CHAIN CENTER OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!

Manage and supervise activities of warehouse team members engaged in loading and unloading of trucks, and in moving and storing of materials/products. Assign job tasks according to shipping schedules. Train new team members in job duties to maintain consistency, and accuracy throughout the warehouse. Ensure team members are working safe and following safety, hygiene, and security guidelines. Comfort level working in a diverse, fast past environment. Follow company guidelines and company operational policies.

SALARY RANGE: $85,000 - $90,000 DOE plus potential to earn up to 15% company bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Manage Warehouse and Warehouse Sanitation Area

  • Establish operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current
  • Implement cycle counting and/or annual physical inventories using inventory system reports, inventory software and count sheets to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Manage team member tasks and responsibilities to receive, store, and load food products and support goods in accordance with established company standards and procedures and within budgeted guidelines and dispatch accuracy goals
  • Control departmental cost and prepare budget for Director review
  • Compile the warehouse portion of the weekly key indicator summary, and other statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Oversee and identify items that can be recycled
  • Maintain safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, local, state, and federal requirements
  • Recognize potential problems and respond accordingly
  • Inspect warehouse equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and in good condition
  • Oversee housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area
  • Ensure department is always audit and 5’s ready
  • Visit stores to monitor the quality of the product
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Maintain positive relationships with other departments and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. [production, warehouse, maintenance, and delivery and service
  • Maintain knowledge of external regulatory audit standards and procedures
  • Ensure that all TDR (trailer-dock-release) policies and procedures are followed
  • Ensure all PIT operators are properly trained and all SOPs are followed

Manage Warehouse and Warehouse Sanitation Team Members

  • Coach team members that are not meeting their performance goals, and reward team members for good performance, complete performance appraisals on team members
  • Facilitate a five-minute team member meeting each day to keep the team member informed of safety precautions, performance, policies, etc.
  • Recruit, interview, hire and train all new team members in various trainings, including safety, and minimize team member turnover
  • Responsible for warehouse safety, and accuracy
  • Review time clock punches edit missing punches and approve PTO request
  • As needed, fills in as warehouse team member and performs tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals (these activities do not exceed 20% of total work time)
  • Maintain positive customer relations
  • Direct salvage of damaged or used material
  • Attend Leadership & Development training sessions
  • Verify and validate timecards and manage working schedule
  • Validate and verify contracts
  • Validate and verify account payables
  • Maintain warehouse supplies for daily needs and order supplies as needed
  • Work with temp agencies
  • Rapid decision making and deliberate planning for warehouse growth
  • Mentoring team members
  • Maintain a working relationship with COE departments, i.e., talent acquisition, finance, quality assurance, and safety
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Director
