Voodoo seeks an Experienced Data Analyst to work on end-to-end data projects, enhancing games and driving monetization/retention. Responsibilities include gathering stakeholder needs, building data pipelines, training predictive models, creating dashboards with actionable recommendations, and analyzing large datasets to address business questions. The ideal candidate possesses substantial analytical experience (ideally in web/mobile or gaming), strong SQL skills, ETL development experience, and Tableau proficiency. The role demands designing solutions, iterating quickly, and deploying to production rapidly in a fast-paced environment.

Team
The Engineering & Data team builds innovative tech products and platforms to support the growth of their gaming and consumer apps which allow Voodoo to stay at the forefront of the mobile industry. The Engineering & Data team plays a key role in Voodoo’s long-term strategy by accelerating product diversification and providing a state of the art growth-engine to distribute and scale our games.
The Analytics Team works closely with Voodoo’s game studios. Our role is to analyse gaming behaviour and provide valuable insights to studio game analysts, helping them monitor and improve the performance of their games. Our expertise in analysing gaming behaviour enables us to develop and deliver innovative solutions that drive growth and ensure the success of Voodoo’s gaming portfolio.
Role
- Work on end-to-end data projects with internal departments to produce better games and drive monetization and retention improvements.
- Gather needs from stakeholders, build data collection and transformation pipelines, train and deploy simple predictive models into production.
- Share progress with game analysts by building dashboards and providing them with actionable recommendations.
- Analyze large, complex data sets with billions of events representing the behavior of online and mobile game players to address strategic and operational business questions.
- Design solutions from scratch, iterate quickly, create POCs, and deploy to production rapidly.
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are able to balance the tradeoff between time-consuming development and rapid results.
Profile
- You possess substantial experience in analytical roles, ideally within a web or mobile company or the online gaming industry.
- You are highly skilled in SQL and have a proven track record of building production-ready pipelines that handle large and complex data sets.
- You have solid experience in ETL development
- You have practical experience with Tableau, and can create dashboards that are shared company-wide, facilitating data-driven decision-making across departments.
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are able to balance the tradeoff between time-consuming development and rapid results.
- A BA/B.Sc degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economy, or other quantitative fields is mandatory for this role.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical tools and models will be considered a significant advantage.
