Our Financial Services Assurance (“FSA”) Practice works with organisations to strengthen trust and transparency by building, maintaining and providing trust over financial reporting in a fast changing, technology-driven world. We draw upon our extensive industry knowledge for our clients including top blue chip companies in the asset management, banking, capital markets, and insurance sectors. We provide our clients with insights, empowered by leading technologies, into marketplace developments and global opportunities. Within the FSA Campaigns Team we focus on driving advisory opportunities across a number of different pillars for financial services clients (asset and wealth management (“AWM”), banking and capital markets (“BCM”) and insurance) including transformation, ESG, risk & regulations and strategy & deals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders both externally and internally and identify opportunities to provide services across our financial services advisory business (i.e. FSA Campaigns – ESG Team)
  • Develop sustainability reports and climate-related disclosures for financial sector clients
  • Assist clients in the development of ESG policies alongside implementation tools to support the policies
  • Assist clients in the development of portfolio decarbonisation strategies and transformation roadmaps
  • Support clients with adoption and alignment to regulatory requirements
  • Conduct and coach others to conduct comprehensive research on latest ESG themes and developments impacting the financial services industry
  • Contribute new ideas as part of a dynamic team to grow the AWM advisory business, with a focus on ESG
  • Develop points of view on the challenges and the opportunities related to specific ESG and sustainability themes in the financial services industry
  • Pursue and win work as a team
  • Execute multiple engagements and projects with clients in areas of ESG and sustainability
  • Supervise and coordinate internal and external projects, e.g. coaching interns and associates
  • Keep up-to-date and take an active interest in monitoring the latest market trends through internal data gathering as well as continuous external market engagement
  • Prepare presentations, publications and proposals for internal and external use
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for client and internal training sessions
  • Be proactive in attending industry training and developing ESG expertise / credentials

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – or more; or
  • Professional qualifications/certifications such as CFA, CAIA, ESG-related or other industry-relevant skills programmes
  • Experience in relevant business domain (at least 2-3 years in a similar position), e.g. providing ESG services to external clients
  • Understanding of key sustainability reporting standards (GRI, ISSB, SASB)
  • Work experience in carbon emissions calculations: Scope 1, 2 and 3 (PCAF knowledge is a plus)
  • Work experience in assessment of climate-related risks and opportunities, as well as scenario analysis
  • Work experience in development and execution of net zero strategies and decarbonisation roadmaps, including carbon target setting (preferably for financial industry clients)
  • Dynamic and self-motivated, passionate about the financial services industry, particularly asset and wealth management and ESG
  • Highly stress resistant and able to demonstrate flexibility and cope with multiple demands and requirements;
  • Capable of producing high quality deliverables with minimal supervision
  • Confident in client communication, presenting topics and networking
  • Able to quickly understand a problem, structure ideas, identify possible solutions and key success factors as well as the ability to interpret and assess the impact of the results of an analysis;
  • Rigorous, curious and proactive;
  • Positive attitude and good at multi-tasking; 
  • A good balance of considering the big picture and attention to details

  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office) and organisational skills and proficient in the use of presentation development apps;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, knowledge of any other Asia Pacific languages would be considered an asset.
