Job Description

As the Head of Human Resources, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's values are reflected in all employee interactions, from onboarding to daily office decorum. This role involves maintaining the organizational structure, creating and promoting employee growth plans, contributing to the Annual Operating Plan, and grooming future leaders. Key responsibilities include policy documentation and adherence, recruitment and training, performance management, and fostering employee engagement and culture. You will also mentor HR personnel and ensure alignment with company values.
Must have:
  • 8+ years of experience in HR/People-centric roles.
  • Experience leading HR for companies with 100+ employees.
  • Experience in scaling teams.
  • Ability to work from the Mumbai office.

Our deployment markets now include Australia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, South Africa with 10 more countries in line for 2025. 


With fresh funds in place, we have aggressive plans for USA & Europe for 2025.

What is the Exact Role?  


Ensure the values of the company reflect at all the touchpoints- be it employee on-boarding, decorum within the office or anywhere else. Have the right processes, culture and rituals to uphold these values at every step 

Org Structure & Budgeting 

  • Maintain the sanctity of Org Structure at all points. It should be updated on a regular basis with clear reporting hierarchy 
  • Have a well-documented growth plan for every title in the company and ensure the career growth prospects are understood and hence promotes retention
  • Contribute towards creating the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and adhere to the budgeting done 
  • Grooming and building the second layer of leadership below the founding team.

Policies & Documentation 

  • Ensure all the policies- legal, cultural, operational, professional, are documented and well understood 
  • Record adherence to these policies by all employees and follow a protocol for action in case of gross non-adherence 

Recruitment & Training 

  • Maintain a delightful employee on-boarding experience including JD, interviews, offer letter and induction 
  • Have frequent check-in and reports for all newly on-boarded employees to ensure they are getting the right support and doing well 
  • Ensure the respective division heads & managers have a plan for training all positions under them. Training curriculum needs to be approved by the Founders  
  • Document best practices for all jobs including the kind of portals that work, the right interview questions etc 
  • Ensure we fill at least 20% of all positions by referrals from employees and run the internal referral program. Ensure there is participation from various managers to scout and reach out to specific candidates, so that we hunt in a group 
  • Have well-documented salary slabs for various titles/positions 
  • Working with the Marketing/PR team to ensure we build employer branding on various social platforms

Performance Management 

  • Maintain a well documented performance management program with timely reviews, feedback and tracking for improvements 
  • Have enough measures to appreciate the top performers and identify below-average performers who need specific skillsets/training 
  • Have a well-documented process for PIP, Termination etc 
  • Identify Managers who do not invest appropriate time on Performance Management and have this as part of their performance 

Engagement & Culture 

  • Ensure involvement of all teams and positions for the various engagement initiaives 
  • Plan unique, fun activities that resonate with people 
  • Suggest and implement activities that help in inculcating specific skills such as public speaking, time management etc 
  • Mentor, nurture and assess the performance of all the personnel within the HR department 

 

What are the Pre-Requisites 

·      Min. 8 years of experience in HR/People-centric role. Tech companies preferred 

·      Having led HR function for companies with at least 100 employees and experience of scaling teams

·      Working out of our Mumbai office. Relocation can be discussed 

·      Joining latest by Jan 15, 2025
