Job Description

As an IT Administrator at PwC, you will be integral to enhancing our technology infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems. Your expertise and innovative mindset will drive improvements in our IT processes and support various technology initiatives. You will handle a range of responsibilities including system maintenance, troubleshooting, and project management, ensuring that our IT operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will also provide support and assistance to seniors on projects, provide Level 1 and Level 2 support, and use emerging technology tools and techniques.
Must have:
  • Knowledge in configuring operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, Unix)
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, ESXi)
  • Knowledge of cloud services, deployment, and management
  • Ability to execute and work with seniors on IT projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration and conflict resolution
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Proactively keep up to date with new & emerging technologies
  • Keen attention to detail, presentation, deliverables quality and adherence to deadlines
Good to have:
  • Professional Certifications such as CompTIA Network +, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Azure, Cisco (CCNA)
  • Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Power Apps) and ability to prepare dashboard
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Job Description & Summary

The One Technology (“1T”) department within Internal Firm Services at PwC plays a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the firm's core business functions. Below are some of the key functions of the IT department:

- Design and implement robust technology systems by collaborating with our global team that support the firm's various functions, ensuring that these systems are reliable.

- Focus on developing and improving internal applications. This involves creating software solutions that enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness.

- Provide advanced technology tools that give PwC a competitive edge, contributing to strategic business growth.

Overall, the IT department is integral to driving operational excellence and business growth by leveraging technology to optimize processes and support the firm's objectives.

Candidates for this role, ideally match the skills below: 

  • Knowledge in configuring operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, Unix).

As Administrator, your responsibilities would include a combination of but are not limited to:  

Responsibilities 

  • Provide support and assistance to seniors to assist in projects (scope, schedule) including tracing the project progress and effectiveness and reporting internally to Seniors/Managers. 

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support ensuring a prominent level of customer service through telephone, email, and face to face support of notebooks, printers, and telecommunication products. 

  • Proactively assist in out day to day IT support, while reporting to Seniors/Managers. 

  • Use a broad range of emerging technology tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends. 

Experience and Qualifications 

  • Professional Certifications such as CompTIA Network +, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Azure, Cisco (CCNA), will be an added advantage. 

  • Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Power Apps) and ability to prepare dashboard. 

  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 

  • Recent HSC school leaver or an individual with a strong and developing interest in the IT industry.
