We are looking for a motivated and resourceful IT Support Specialist to join our team in Guildford. This role will ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems and provide hands-on support to teams locally and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues across hardware, software, and network systems.
- Maintain and monitor servers, workstations, and networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of users, including account setups and access management.
- Procure, configure, and deploy hardware and software to meet business needs.
- Provide training and clear documentation to help end-users effectively use IT systems.
- Support the IT team in global and local projects, contributing to system upgrades, migrations, and process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and connectivity.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and best practices for data and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to understand business needs and implement effective technical solutions.
- Capable of working independently while managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and provide clear updates on progress.
- Experience with common IT systems and tools (e.g., Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, ERP systems) is a plus, but eagerness to learn is essential.
