What will you be doing?

This role is in Business Technology Support and Services as a database system administrator for the ITSM tool Summit aka IRIS. The database system administrator is responsible for the development, implementation and sustained support of the IT Service Management system. IRIS is a global application on premise at Circana in Chicago, Illinois. The client base includes Circana employees and their business partners.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Application upgrades and patches for new releases and hotfixes
  • Maintenance and support of the Staging, Pre-Prod and Production environments which includes back-up and restore procedures
  • Disaster recovery of on-prem system
  • Back-up and retention system policy management
  • IRIS mobile and proxy application configuration
  • Domain and AD relationships in IRIS
  • License Key Maintenance
  • Access management to Servers and Databases
  • Report building from backend SQL server
  • Complex backend report building
  • CMDB maintenance and monthly auto discovery runs
  • Tier 3 support and troubleshooting of reported issues with ITSM team and ITSM third party vendor
  • Data source creation and maintenance for reporting
  • API interface integration

Qualifications And Skills

  • 10-15yrs of experience
  • Experience with installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting issues with a Service Management tool
  • Experience with SQL and database management language and tools
  • Experience with API as pertains to Service Management
  • Knowledge of JavaScript language
  • Knowledge of Windows/Linux OS and Active directory
  • Knowledge of infrastructure Monitoring tools and integration with a Service Management tool
  • Knowledge of CMDB maintenance and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude for self-learning new Service Management releases
  • Ability to work with third party vendors on client issues tracking and resolution.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Position is offshore
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
  • ITIL certification a plus
