About the team:

The Device Integration Suite engineering team develops and maintains various .NET-based applications aiming to support and facilitate integration processes for nearly 15 000 devices operating with Milestone’s core product – a video management system called XProtect. The team works closely with other teams ensuring a seamless process for device integrations and collaboration with our technology partners.

We are now looking for a Junior .NET Developer in Sofia (hybrid mode of work). This is a maternity cover role for at least 1 year.
 

What you will be doing most of the time:

• Working as part of an autonomous engineering team in an Agile environment utilizing SCRUM framework
• Estimating, planning, and implementing technical tasks and user stories
• Contribute to developing new product functionality based on business priorities and requirements, adhering to the product roadmap and supported by senior team members
• Learning and following development best practices and coding standards to ensure high-quality deliverables; participate in architectural and technical software implementation design discussions
• Working with a vast portfolio of projects based on technologies and frameworks from a .NET family including both back-end and front-end coding, implementing unit and functional tests, debugging and bugfixing, maintaining documentation, performing code reviews
• Explore and apply Azure cloud DevOps capabilities for enterprise applications in different environments

How you can match:

• Ongoing or finished higher education, preferably in Computer Science or similar
• Strong understanding of Programming Fundamentals, OOP Principles, Design Patterns, etc.
• Good knowledge of C# and main components of the .NET platform, Visual Studio/Code IDE
• Understanding of core principles of CI/CD, version control systems (Git / Tfs), bug-tracking system
• Good command of English (both spoken and written)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to take on challenging assignments, prioritize, and handle uncertainty in a changing environment
