About the Team At ByteDance, the Language Center team is integral, providing essential language support to our engineers, facilitating effective communication and seamless collaboration among RD teams globally. What You Will Do - Collaborate closely with R&D teams and language experts to assess work meetings, ensure clear communication of the intended meaning, providing valuable feedback. - Translate technical documents and provide simultaneous interpretation support during work meetings. - Monitor and proofread translation output from both internal and outsourced translators. - Compile and maintain glossaries and perform other language-related tasks as requested by senior team members. - Accurately annotate Chinese/English data for model training, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout the process.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: - Work experience in translation/interpretation, with the ability to translate technical and general documents between Chinese and English. - Bachelor's Degree in translation/interpretation or equivalent practical experience, with strong English communication skills. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Experience in simultaneous interpretation between Chinese and English. Preferred Qualifications: - Relevant translation experience in the technology field is preferred. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $96000 - $151111 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

In addition to Flexible Spending Account(FSA) Options like Health Care, Limited Purpose and Dependent Care.

Our time off and leave plans are: 10 paid holidays per year plus 17 days of Paid Personal Time Off (PPTO) (prorated upon hire and increased by tenure) and 10 paid sick days per year as well as 12 weeks of paid Parental leave and 8 weeks of paid Supplemental Disability.
