Job Description

The Powerwall Account Manager in Victoria & Tasmania will be a key member of a cross-functional team, focusing on maintaining and expanding business with existing customers (PV installers, energy retailers, network operators). Responsibilities include developing and maintaining productive partner accounts, conveying Tesla's product roadmap, anticipating new business opportunities, achieving volume sales, expanding sales channels, providing product feedback, understanding market dynamics, contributing to Tesla's product and sales strategy, performing techno-economic analysis, providing sales forecasts and market insights, developing marketing/sales materials, and providing product and sales training. This role requires strong product and market knowledge, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to navigate a dynamic technological landscape.

What to Expect
Be a key member of a cross functional business team with a particular focus on maintaining and further developing business with existing customer accounts. This is a multi-faceted role where strong product and market knowledge is expected. What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain highly productive partner accounts (e.g. PV installers, energy retailers, and network operators)
  • Build and maintain relationships across the organization of partner accounts
  • Convey Tesla product roadmap and prepare partners for integration
  • Anticipate new business opportunities with accounts and identify suitable product offerings to satisfy customer requirements
  • Be responsible for achieving volume sales within assigned channel(s)
  • Expand sales channels by identifying new partners and supporting contract negotiation
  • Provide product feedback to technical team regarding fit and applicability of product design and offering
  • Maintain an understanding of market dynamics across relevant sectors (e.g. utility, commercial & industrial, residential, etc.) and drivers (e.g. policy/regulatory, techno-economics, etc.)
  • Contribute input regarding Tesla's product and sales strategy for the region
  • Contribute to techno-economic analysis to assess market opportunities
  • Provide high fidelity sales forecasts to business and manufacturing teams
  • Provide key market insights to the broader business team
  • Provide input on the development of marketing/sales material
  • Provide product and sales training to partner accounts; exceptional presentation skills required
What You’ll Bring
  • BA/BS or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • 5 years relevant work experience is preferred
  • Professional fluency in English required; proficiency in other regional languages a plus
  • Demonstrated performance of sales/business development in a related field
  • Experience launching new businesses/products
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast moving environment
  • Experience digesting and translating technical requirements and policy/regulatory. information for commercial applicability is preferred
  • Energy experience is preferred
  • Deep passion for changing the way we use energy on the electric grid
