We're looking for an experienced Principal Software Development Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. This role is remote within the USA. Reporting to the Leader of Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for:

• Establishing and refining coding standards and best practices for platform services, encompassing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation systems, and API interfaces, to promote efficiency and consistency.  
• Partnering with cross-functional engineering teams to analyze workload demands, identify scaling opportunities, and enhance automation for optimized workflows and solutions.  
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and encouraging adherence to industry-leading practices.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) 

• 8+ years of experience in large-scale production environments
• Proven expertise in Go, with a strong ability to build scalable and reliable solutions.
• Understanding of complex system architectures end-to-end, design patterns, and tradeoffs necessary to scale globally distributed services
• U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role.
• Deep understanding of event-driven orchestration systems, with hands-on experience working with relational and time series databases.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Understanding of TCP/IP routing and protocol behavior 
• Knowledge of Temporal/Airflow, OTEL, and System level Telemetry a plus
• Experience with software testing and frameworks, overall SDLC management
