Summary

Zscaler seeks an experienced Principal Product Manager for its Federal and Sovereign Clouds team. Responsibilities include collaborating with sales and compliance to understand public sector needs, influencing product development roadmaps, and driving stakeholder alignment across teams. The role involves crafting product vision, specifications, and business strategies; defining requirements and go-to-market strategies for DoD cloud offerings; and prioritizing requirements to achieve business goals. The ideal candidate possesses extensive product management experience (10+ years), a strong understanding of the US Federal and DoD markets, familiarity with DoD certification programs (IL5 and IL6), and excellent stakeholder management skills. The position requires US citizenship.

We're looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to join our Federal and Sovereign Clouds team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management, you will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with stakeholders in Sales and Compliance teams to fully understand the needs of the public sector and how that affects product development and delivery roadmaps for our product offerings
  • Stakeholder management to drive alignment between sales, compliance, engineering, product management, and enablement teams
  • Writing excellent, detailed product vision, product specification and business strategy artifacts that clarifies and aligns all stakeholders
  • Driving the requirements and go to market for DoD unclassified and classified cloud offerings, working closely with engineering, regional sales teams and cloud operations teams
  • Working closely with Product Management leadership to prioritize your requirements and delivering the roadmap resulting in solid adoption and realization of business goals

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) 

  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role.
  • 10+ years Product Management experience with at least 3 years in US federal market, preferably in SaaS and/or Cyber Security space
  • Deep understanding of US Federal and DoD markets and experience with US DoD certification programs such as IL5 and IL6 is required.
  • Broad stakeholder management to drive alignment between sales, compliance, engineering, product management, and enablement teams

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • DoD secret clearance and cloud services
  • Experience working with customers to clearly document the needs for engineering community to deliver on the roadmap resulting in solid adoption and realization of business goals
  • Good understanding of Cloud Security spanning SWG, ZTNA, Proxies, Firewalls, VPN and data path technologies and ability to work in a fast paced environment and track the engagement and activity using project management tools is mandatory

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range
$161,000$230,000 USD
