As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 1 year of program management experience
  • Experience working with data analytics tools and reporting platforms
  • Coordinate and deliver program communications
  • Collect data relating to program progress
  • Author program charter that addresses scope and timeline
  • Author stakeholder map that specifies who is impacted by, and who influences program outcome
  • Triage technical bugs and feature requests
Good to have:
  • Experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
  • Experience with Mapping, Imagery, or Local Search companies
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to create team goals, have a strategic mindset, and take initiatives

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $99,000-$145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver program communications in collaboration with program stakeholders, including metrics progress, meeting notes, meeting Artificial Intelligence (AI) decision/escalation logs, newsletters, and websites. 
  • Collect data relating to program progress from program stakeholders. 
  • Author program charter that addresses scope and timeline of basic program, specify program Objectives and Key Results (OKR), and explain resource requirements/dependencies, in collaboration with program stakeholders. 
  • Author stakeholder map that specifies who is impacted by, and who influences program outcome in collaboration with program stakeholders.
  • Triage technical bugs and feature requests alongside engineering stakeholders for purposes of prioritization, resourcing, and tracking execution.
