Job Description
Mayhem Studios seeks a QA Engineer I - Automation to write, maintain, and execute test cases for mobile (Android/iOS/Kindle) and web games. Responsibilities include functional and non-functional testing, collaborating with the scrum team, defect triage, root cause analysis, and preparing test documentation. The ideal candidate has gaming experience (Battle Royale preferred), understands client-server architecture, and is familiar with testing tools (Charles Proxy, Selenium, Appium, etc.). Experience with API automation, SQL, and Agile methodologies is also required. The role involves automating daily test runs and ensuring high-quality product delivery.

Our flagship project, Underworld Gang Wars (UGW), has over 8M pre-registrations and 20M+ trailer views. With a team of industry veterans, we’re building immersive AAA gaming experiences for local and global audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Write, maintain & execute test cases for studio games on mobile (Android/iOS/Kindle) and web platform covering the majority of devices
Conduct functional and non-function testing of Desktop and Mobile applications, including network data and logs.
Work closely with scrum team, producers and QA lead/ Manager to make sure submission meets high-quality standards
Actively communicate with developers and business stakeholders for conducting defect triage and reducing defect age
Provide defects root cause analysis along with corrective & preventive action plan
Work in an agile environment and ensure timely product delivery
Have a detailed understanding of studio games covering various corner cases
Prepare test documentation to improve the quality of the application
Automation Frame Work, Scripts to Automate the Daily Runs
What We’re Looking For
Passionate about gaming and must enjoy playing casual games
Gaming domain experience - Battle Royal (preferred the most), Racing, Casual games
Good understanding of client-server architecture
Familiarity with mobile platforms from a QA perspective
Experienced in test design & execution techniques
Experience with these or similar tools — Charles Proxy, DDMS, ADB, Firebug, Fiddler, Jira, Test Rail, Api tools (postman, Jmeter)

Python
Api automation
Ability to write QA documentation -Test cases, Training, Test plans
Good exploratory testing skills and knowledge to apply the right level of testing approach
Good knowledge of testing processes and understanding Agile methodologies
Experience working in an Agile development environment would be an advantage
Experienced in testing mobile (iOS/Android/Kindle) would be an advantage
Must have good written and verbal communication in English
