Job Description

As a Release DevOps Engineer, you'll build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment. Leveraging expertise in GitLab, Python, and containerized deployments, you'll define best practices and empower developers. Responsibilities include creating complex pipelines, automating GitLab tasks, writing technical documentation, and collaborating with software development leadership. Ideal candidates are experienced GitLab administrators with Python development experience and a passion for robust build systems. Familiarity with VFX pipelines, Docker, C++ libraries, Rez/Python ecosystems, reverse proxies, and cloud deployments is crucial.

Good to have:
  • VFX pipeline familiarity
  • C++ library creation

Job Details

En tant qu'ingénieur DevOps, vous soutiendrez l'équipe en créant et en maintenant des pipelines de création, de test et de déploiement automatisés. Vous tirerez parti de votre connaissance approfondie des processus CI/CD ainsi que de la construction et du déploiement conteneurisés pour aider à définir les meilleures pratiques et permettre à d'autres développeurs de se concentrer sur le développement de fonctionnalités. Le candidat idéal est un administrateur Gitlab expérimenté qui a travaillé comme développeur Python et aime soutenir une équipe de développeurs avec des systèmes de build rigoureux et robustes.

Principales responsabilités

    • Créer et maintenir des pipelines complexes de construction, de test, d'intégration et de déploiement
    • Améliorer la vitesse des développeurs grâce à l'automatisation des tâches gitlab
    • Rédiger des briefs techniques et de la documentation utilisateur
    • Collaborer avec la direction du développement logiciel et l'équipe de pipeline pour identifier et planifier les tâches

Qualifications

    • 3+ ans de développement Python
    • Expert en systèmes de construction et de déploiement automatisés dans Gitlab ou similaire
    • Expérience dans l'application de la qualité du code grâce à des tests et au peluchage dans l'écosystème Python
    • Expérience pratique avec Docker
    • Familiarité avec les pipelines VFX et les besoins de production
    • Expérience dans la création de bibliothèques C++
    • Expérience avec les écosystèmes de construction et de distribution Rez et/ou Python
    • Compréhension du proxy inverse et d'autres techniques permettant de rendre les API accessibles 
    • Connaissance pratique des déploiements basés sur le cloud 
    • Solides compétences en communication écrite et verbale



    • As a DevOps Engineer, you will support the team by creating and maintaining automated build, testing and deployment pipelines. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of CI/CD processes and containerized build and deployment to help define best practices and enable other developers to focus on feature development. The ideal candidate is an experienced Gitlab administrator who worked as a python developer and enjoys supporting a team of developers with rigorous and robust build systems.
