We at RENNSPORT are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help us on our journey to be the future of digital motorsport! A successful candidate will work hand-in-hand with the game, frontend and app teams in crafting the best possible experience to engage with our game content! We look forward to hearing from you!

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the backend architecture and services

• Collaborate with the development team to design and implement new features

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs with the UX team

• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies

Your profile

• 3-5 years of experience as a Backend Developer

• Experience working in agile development teams

• Strong understanding of relational databases

• Good understanding of message brokers

• Experience working with microservice-based systems

• Strong understanding of at least one backend language

• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure

• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as git
  
  

  What would make you stand out?

  • Strong experience in Go

  • Experience with PostgreSQL

  • Knowledge of underlying web technologies (HTTP, TCP, QUIC)

  • Experience with Apache Kafka

  • Experience with Kubernetes and Agones

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code

  • Familiarity with Google Cloud

  • Familiarity with GitLab

  • An eye for architecture and long-term maintainability

  • Previous employment in the gaming industry

  • Sim racing experience and passion
