The Senior Manager of Disney Entertainment Television (DET) Marketing Reporting and Analytics will play a critical role in shaping the long-term strategic vision for how the DET Marketing Group sets, measures, and reports performance metrics, conducting widely impacting analyses and deriving strategic insights to inform marketing tactics. This role will drive new frameworks and processes to create consistency across DET and Direct-to-Consumer brands, elevating the entire organization’s approach to marketing television domestically and globally. The individual will collaborate closely with executives throughout the organization and act as a key contact for marketing leadership. Responsibilities include: Standardizing KPI expectations across DET brands, refining the reporting process for Hulu, Disney+, ABC, and other channels, conducting in-depth analyses, establishing databases and resources, creating performance narratives, developing regular reporting for DET Marketing, gathering insights and recommendations for Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, and providing regular updates to leadership.
Must have:
  • 7+ years of progressive work experience
  • Minimum 4 years in media and entertainment
  • Looker, Tableau, and advanced SQL experience
  • Hands-on, team player
  • Ability to thrive under pressure
  • Ability to interface and build relationships
  • Strong knowledge of the media landscape
Good to have:
  • Strategy, strategic planning, or consulting experience

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Disney Entertainment Television (DET) Marketing Reporting and Analytics will play a critical role in shaping the long-term strategic vision for how the DET Marketing Group sets, measures, and reports performance metrics, conducting widely impacting analyses and deriving strategic insights to inform marketing tactics. He/(she) will drive new frameworks and processes to create consistency across DET and Direct-to-Consumer brands, elevating the entire organization’s approach to marketing television domestically and globally.

The individual will collaborate closely with executives throughout the organization and act as a key contact for marketing leadership. A successful candidate will possess a strong combination of hard and soft skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Marketing Planning & Analysis to standardize the KPI expectations setting process across DET brands, focusing on Disney Branded Television and National Geographic.

  • Lead discussions on KPI setting and formulate concrete recommendations with clear rationale.

  • Refine and enhance the reporting process for Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, ABC, Disney Branded Television, Freeform, and National Geographic. Provide insightful interpretations of data to make it consumable for executives and actionable for teams.

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of title- and genre-level performance and address brand-specific and DET-wide reporting needs.

  • Establish databases and resources to facilitate more thorough analyses.

  • Contribute to the creation of performance narratives post-title launch.

  • Examine historical performance trends to inform future expectations and benchmarking.

  • Develop and iterate regular reporting for DET Marketing, including weekly awareness and content reports.

  • Engage with leaders from engagement, media, brand, and research teams to gather data-based insights and actionable marketing recommendations for Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.

  • Provide regular updates to leadership and supporting teams regarding marketing performance.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive work experience in a dynamic and fast-paced organization; minimum 4 years in media and entertainment, strategy, strategic planning, or consulting.

  • Looker, Tableau, and advanced SQL experience required.

  • Hands-on, team player with the ability to work both independently as well as in a highly collaborative environment.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure, work with ambiguity and complexity, manage competing priorities - often with minimal direction.

  • Ability to interface and build relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable as the business needs change.

  • Strong knowledge of the media landscape.


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $152,200 to $204,100 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
