Job Description

As a Senior Performance Test Engineer, you will lead and manage performance testing projects, develop and implement testing methodologies, analyze results, and provide recommendations for improvement. You will collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues, mentor team members, and stay updated on industry trends. Your day-to-day activities will include defining requirements, developing test plans, executing tests, and communicating findings to stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing recommendations for optimization and mentoring team members on best practices.
Must have:
  • Strong knowledge of performance testing tools
  • Experience with performance testing in cloud environments
  • Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good to have:
  • Master's degree or certifications in performance testing

Job Details

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the performance testing team and projects
  • Develop and implement performance testing methodologies and strategies
  • Analyze performance test results and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to identify and resolve performance issues
  • Mentor and guide team members on best practices and technical expertise
  • Stay current on industry trends and advancements in performance testing

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g. LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling)
  • Experience with performance testing in cloud environments
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in performance testing and quality assurance
  • Experience leading and managing performance testing teams
  • Experience with designing and executing performance test plans

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Define performance testing requirements and scope for projects
  • Develop and execute performance test plans and scripts
  • Monitor and analyze performance test results
  • Communicate performance test findings to relevant stakeholders
  • Provide recommendations for performance optimization and tuning
  • Mentor and guide team members on technical best practices

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Master's degree or certifications in performance testing is a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
