Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Analyst

Oliver Wyman Group Tech department is looking to hire a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Analyst to support the multiple initiatives within our firm. This role will work closely with Project Managers, Technical Leads, and Developers to preventing critical defect leakage to production.
 

Our Software Development Engineer in Test will create test cases, plan their execution, and perform

the testing activities of internal IT systems and software applications. Our SDET will need a proactive approach to never let anything slip by and not be afraid to get their hands dirty. Must perform the role and responsibilities with a high level of integrity, ethics, and commitment to service excellence.

We will count on you to:

  • Oversee the entire test lifecycle by designing, documenting, and executing test scripts to identify defects and prevent them from reaching production.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand project design and requirements, and create corresponding test cases.
  • Design, document, maintain, and execute test strategies and plans.
  • Develop automated test cases and conduct manual testing for products using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) throughout the Software Development Life Cycle to ensure high quality.
  • Perform comprehensive functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing to identify and report defects, ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
  • Set up and maintain the test environment and documentation to industry standards.
  • Document test results and generate timely, effective Test Summary Reports and bug reports.
  • Coordinate with testers, developers, and support staff on corrective actions or viable workarounds for incidents.
  • Work closely with developers and business analysts to reproduce and resolve identified issues.
  • Conduct system-level testing, including end-to-end testing, to validate business processes, performance, and data integrity.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and strategies to enhance overall website quality.
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions to assess the impact of application changes on quality from both internal and external interfaces.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in test, Software Engineer or Quality Assurance Analyst, with the experience in testing tools and frameworks

  • Independently identify and resolve complex problems utilizing functional and technical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively within a team and interact with stakeholders, team player.
  • Fluent in English - Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation, especially since this role requires influencing stakeholders and partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Highly supportive of the business and its ideals and strategies.
  • Results-oriented.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience as a QA Tester/SDET with a focus on Azure Dev OPs and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Strong understanding of Azure Dev OPs and AEM functionality, including content management, workflows, and custom applications.
  • Proficient in test planning, test case design, and test execution.
  • Functional UNIX and Windows experience (including scripting and automation) required
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Dev OPs and AEM testing tools and frameworks, such as AEM test framework or Selenium.
  • Working knowledge of development methodologies, Agile and Waterfall.
  • Extensive experience in writing/reviewing requirements, developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automated testing.
  • Detailed understanding of the development lifecycle and quality assurance phases.
  • Experience with functional, integration, regression, and load testing.
  • CSTE/ISTQB or equal certification would be a plus.
  • Experience working in with globally available infrastructure services based on third party "cloud" providers and corporate data centers
  • Proficient understanding of application architecture to identify quality issues related to design or distribution of application components
