Job Description

As a Senior Producer at Flying Wild Hog, you'll oversee game production, ensuring projects meet quality standards and deadlines. Key responsibilities include managing schedules, collaborating with leads and publishers, translating game vision into actionable plans, and mitigating project risks. You will also manage and coach direct reports, coordinate between teams, and improve team productivity. This role requires strong leadership, experience with cross-discipline teams, and a deep understanding of the game development lifecycle, ideally with experience in Live Service games on PC/Console. The successful candidate will also act as a deputy to the Lead Producer.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As the Senior Producer, you will supervise the game production, making sure goals are clear, the development team is on the road to deliver on the vision, proper production management methods are in place, game quality expectations are met, and the product is released on schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with the Lead Producer to create, maintain and adapt the development schedule and project roadmap
  • Collaboration with the project leads to create clear deliverables and ensure these meet the quality expectations of players and publishing partner
  • Help to translate the game vision into an actionable plan and communicate that plan to the publisher and other external vendor
  • Work with other production staff to supervise project schedules and ensure task backlogs are managed correctly
  • Ensuring the flow of information within and between teams, as well as studios
  • Coordinating work in accordance with pipelines and pipeline creation
  • Contributing to improving the game quality, productivity of teams, and the efficiency of processes
  • Prioritize competing deadlines while structuring the team to support these initiatives
  • Managing priorities to ensure the realization of project goals
  • Help to identify and then track and mitigate risks in the project and within the studio
  • Be part of the studio leadership team and help with the decision-making process
  • Understand the studio and team requirements and establish, as well as maintain, a long-term staffing plan
  • Be a key part of the hiring process, identifying gaps in team composition and being involved in interviews
  • Function as a second in command for the Lead Producer, being able to deputize any of their roles and responsibilities when required
  • Manage relationships with our publishing and other external partners on a regular basis across several teams and groups
  • Responsible for updating key stakeholders within the company and team on project progress and requirements
  • Being responsible for the successful delivery of key milestones and releases, including documentation
  • Being responsible for coaching and managing direct reports

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience as a producer in the game development environment
  • Leadership experience and skills, with a focus on team motivation, autonomy, and self-leadership
  • Experience with managing cross-discipline teams and working with publishers
  • A clear understanding of the game development process from a concept phase to the live version, with at least 1 title delivered end to end as a Producer
  • Experience in Live Service games, PC/Console
  • Experience as Technical Producer is welcome
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Experience in adjusting project methodologies to the team and project needs
  • Ability to balance shifting short-term priorities and long-term goals
  • Analytical and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent English language skills required
