Job Description
As a Web Developer at CleverTap, you will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership and management of the CleverTap website. You will collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams to create a world-class web experience aligned with business goals. This role involves frontend and backend development, CMS management, SEO and performance optimization, and enabling marketing teams with efficient publishing workflows. You will directly influence customer acquisition, brand presence, and the overall digital experience by architecting and optimizing website performance, security, and roadmap; building and maintaining responsive UIs with React/Next.js, HTML/CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript; integrating and extending headless CMS platforms; ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, WCAG, and cookie-consent frameworks; supporting campaigns and global content delivery through landing pages, personalization, and A/B tests; and optimizing for SEO and Core Web Vitals.
Must have:
- 5-8 years of full-stack web development experience (HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
- Deep experience with React.js and Next.js
- Strong understanding of component-based architecture and design systems
- Experience building and managing headless CMS platforms (Contentful, Sanity, Strapi)
- Hands-on deployment experience (Vercel, Netlify)
- WordPress development experience (optional)
- Proficiency in build tools (Webpack, Gulp)
- Proven implementation of web compliance (GDPR, CCPA, WCAG)
- Experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM)
- GTM Data Layer configuration and troubleshooting
- Exposure to visual analytics tools (Crazy Egg, Zipy)
- Familiarity with HubSpot integration and event tracking
Good to have:
- Experience with Angular
- Experience with A/B testing and personalization tools (Optimizely, Google Optimize, VWO)
- Experience supporting global web experiences
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Experience with customer data platforms (Segment)
- Understanding of AJAX

About the Role
As a Web Developer at CleverTap, you’ll play a critical role in owning and managing the CleverTap website end to end. You’ll be part of a high-impact, cross-functional team, working closely with design, content, and marketing teams to deliver a world-class web experience that aligns with our business goals.In this role, you’ll handle both frontend and backend development, own the CMS, optimize for SEO and performance, and enable the marketing team with fast and flexible publishing workflows. You’ll have the opportunity to directly influence customer acquisition, brand presence, and the overall digital experience.
What will you do
-Architect & Optimize: Own the website’s architecture, performance, security, and roadmap—aligning sprint themes with marketing goals.
-Build & Maintain: Develop responsive, accessible UIs (React/Next.js, HTML/CSS/SCSS, JavaScript) and implement scalable design systems and reusable components.
-CMS & Integrations: Integrate and extend headless CMS platforms (Contentful, Strapi, Webflow) and handle custom WordPress development.
-Compliance & Security: Enforce GDPR, CCPA, WCAG, and cookie-consent frameworks in partnership with legal and security teams.
-Campaign & Global Support: Rapidly deliver landing pages, personalization, and A/B tests for marketing; enable multilingual and geo-targeted experiences.
-Performance & SEO: Optimize for SEO, Core Web Vitals, and Lighthouse scores; debug and profile with browser dev tools.
What are we looking for?
Must Have
-5–8 years of experience in full-stack web development, ( HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
-Deep experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React.js and Next.js.
-Strong understanding of component-based architecture, reusable design systems, and scalable UI libraries.
-Demonstrated experience building and managing headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Sanity, Strapi).
-Hands-on deployment experience using platforms like Vercel, Netlify, or similar.
-Experience in WordPress development, including custom themes and plugin creation (optional but beneficial).
-Proficiency in build tools such as Webpack and Gulp.
-Proven implementation of web compliance standards including GDPR, CCPA, and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
-Experience implementing and maintaining Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
-GTM Data Layer configuration and troubleshooting experience.
-Exposure to visual analytics tools like Crazy Egg and Zipy.
-Familiarity with HubSpot integration and event tracking.
Good to Have
