Electronic Arts is seeking a Software Developer Intern to join their Tools and Infrastructure team working on the next AAA Iron Man game. This internship involves building tooling and plugins for Unreal Engine 5 and related DCC tools, supporting narrative workflows, developing import/export workflows, contributing to source control and build delivery tools, and enhancing the CI/CD backend for the build farm. Responsibilities include creating editor plugins, assisting the Narrative and Cinematics team, developing preflight checks, build deployment tools, and telemetry gathering tools, and working with the team to support tools and workflows for content creators. The ideal candidate will have C++ proficiency, with C# and .NET experience preferred. Unreal Engine experience is also beneficial. This is a 4-month internship, available to students enrolled in an accredited program in Summer 2025, graduating no earlier than December 2025.

Our game development team, working on the next AAA Iron Man game, is seeking a Software Developer Intern to work on our Tools and Infrastructure team alongside a group of experienced developers as they deliver the technology that supports the game production pipeline.

This role will have the opportunity to learn about and assist with delivery of various editor plugins, narrative workflows, DCC import/export workflows, source control and build delivery tools, the CI/CD backend for the build farm, and many other topics related to the stability of the project and the day-to-day workflows of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Build tooling and plugins to support content creation in Unreal Engine 5 and related DCC tools.

  • Work with the Narrative and Cinematics team to support workflows related to authoring narrative sequences in the game.

  • Develop and maintain tools and workflows to support the game team in their work, such as preflight checks, build deployment tools, telemetry gathering tools, and other related tools.

  • Develop features for the build farm, ranging from authoring build pipelines to implementing standalone services that support the operation of the build pipelines.

  • Work alongside the team to provide support of our tools and workflows to content creators on the project.

Requirements:

  • C++ proficiency required

  • C# and .NET proficiency preferred

  • Experience with projects in Unreal Engine preferred

  • Experience working with DCC import/export workflows is encouraged but not required

We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2025, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2025. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis during the 4-month internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
