As Funko's Sr. Manager, Compensation, you will lead the administration, execution, analysis, and evaluation of all compensation programs, including base salary, bonus programs, executive compensation, long- and short-term incentives, and equity awards. You will analyze the effectiveness and competitiveness of existing programs, identifying areas for improvement and developing new incentives to attract and retain top talent. You will also collaborate with HR Leadership to define job families and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and pay equity regulations. This role involves managing compensation relationships, overseeing the annual compensation review cycle, and partnering with the HR team on information system upgrades and new system implementation. You will also provide insights and recommendations for compensation program and benefit plan development.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in compensation program administration
  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Ultipro preferred)
  • Expert Excel skills (modeling, formulas, pivot tables, VBA)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
  • Strong results orientation and attention to detail

As Funko’s Sr. Manager, Compensation, you will oversee the administration, execution, analysis, and evaluation of our compensation programs. You will serve as the Funko Subject Matter Expert, specializing in compensation and equity programs. You will be the primary resource to drive projects related to the analysis and development of compensation programs that attract and retain top talent. 

What You’ll Do: 
 
  • Lead the compensation program inclusive of base salary, bonus programs (including sales commission), executive compensation, long- and short-term incentive plans and equity awards. 
  • Create new program incentives to attract and retain talent.
  • Perform a deep analysis on the effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs and model the potential impact of alternatives. 
  • Identify areas of opportunity within current programs and plans.  Develops, evaluates, improves, and communicates methods and techniques for compensating employees. 
  • Collaborate with HR Leadership to define job families to support talent mapping initiatives.
  • Provide information for Board and Executive level compensation presentations.
  • Document compensation practices, policies, and system procedures focusing on best practices.
  • Ensure salaries and benefits comply with the current legislation and pay equity.  
  • Engage in pay equity analysis to ensure equal pay practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy for all required reporting, filing and notifications. Make recommendations regarding compensation program and benefit plan development. 
  • Partners with Senior Leadership and HR Team to facilitate annual review and merit increase process.
  • Partner with HR team members to define, develop, and implement information systems upgrades and/or new systems.
  • Oversees the administration of the annual Compensation Review Cycle 
  • Oversees job evaluations to ensure they are consistent with the competitive market and are internally equitable 
  • Manage compensation relationships.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, and at least 6 years of experience and/or training are required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Must have strong experience coordinating the administration, execution and analysis of a broad range of compensation programs. Pride in program ownership.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compensation practices including but not limited to: Profit sharing, incentive pay, sales commission, signing bonuses, relocation assistance, Cost of living adjustments, long term incentive plans, Employee Purchase Stock Programs 
  • Experience utilizing HRIS systems, Ultipro experience is preferred.
  • Expert Excel skills: model building, use of advanced formulas and arrays, pivot tables, data manipulation, VBA  
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools - Tableau preferred. 
  • PowerPoint / Google Slides: develop presentations with a summary of analytics/findings. 
  • Strong results orientation and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
Salary Information  
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $131k-$160k annually. ​ Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.   
Work Environment   
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
