AVER is seeking a Sr. SQL DBA, a technical expert to support activities related to administration of computerized databases at an enterprise level spanning application development, SharePoint, and data services. The role involves communicating with management, technicians, and end-users to evaluate the need for automated solutions, preparing detailed reports, designing and maintaining enterprise databases, conducting quality control and auditing of databases, advising users on access to various enterprise database environments, providing support for SQL Server RDBMS installation, configuration, patching and upgrade, assisting the development team with designing queries, managing database availability, backup/restoration and recovery, and assisting with SQL migrations.
Must have:
10+ years of technical analysis experience
Expert level knowledge of query language and proficiency in SQL
In-depth knowledge of SQL Database high availability
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database integrity issues
Experience administering Azure SQL
Experience with document backup and all environments
Good to have:
Experience with SQL Cloud migrations

AVER is seeking a Sr. SQL DBA, who is a technical expert to support activities related to administration of computerized databases at an enterprise level spanning application development, SharePoint, and data services. Responsibilities Include:
Communicate with management, technicians, and end-users to evaluate the need prior to development of an automated solution
Prepare detailed reports which might include system requirements, such as concurrent usage factors, data storage requirements, response rates, and discuss procedures for processing data using database management systems (DBMS) including relational data bases
Project long- range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function
Design, create, and maintain enterprise databases
Conduct quality control and auditing of databases in an enterprise environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data
Advise users on access to various enterprise database environments
Provide support for SQL Server RDBMS installation, configuration, patching and upgrade from a hardware and software perspective
Assist the development team with designing queries, make tuning adjustments, and schema level modifications
Manage the database availability, backup/restoration and recovery.
Assist with SQL migration
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or an equivalent/related field
Experience Requirements:
10+ years of technical analysis experience
Expert level knowledge of query language and be proficient in SQL
In-depth knowledge of SQL Database high availability (Clustering and Replication) and disaster recovery technology
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database integrity issues, performance issues, deadlocking issues, replication issues and connectivity issues
Able to perform database administration for a number of mission critical environments by ensuring database availability and persistent monitoring of database performance
Experience with Azure Console
Experience with document backup and all environments
Desired Requirements:
Experience with SQL Cloud migrations
Experience administering Azure SQL

Security Requirement:
Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust)
