Job Summary
Job Description
The System Engineer (DB2 DBA) will be responsible for DB2 database administration, including supporting critical production environments, monitoring databases, and performing health checks. They will also be involved in HADR DB upgrades, fix pack implementation, and database backup and recovery. The role requires troubleshooting database issues and a willingness to work in all shifts. Good DB2 architectural knowledge is essential, along with experience in DB2 Interactive and ITIL processes. Basic knowledge of TSAPT is also preferred. The engineer will monitor ticketing tools and ensure the smooth operation of the database systems. This role demands proactive monitoring and troubleshooting skills to maintain optimal database performance and availability. The individual should have experience with DB2 LUW and be able to handle database-related issues efficiently.
Must have:
- DB2 DBA expertise
- DB2 Interactive knowledge
- ITIL Process Knowledge
- DB2 Architectural knowledge
Good to have:
- TSAPT knowledge
