Job Summary:

The Technical Infrastructure Project Manager will collaborate with the respective programme managers & manage and execute DC projects including new office builds, data centre builds/acquisitions, and more. This role provides support and coordination of various third parties, ensuring project objectives are met. Leads teams of internal and external stakeholders through all stages of the Data Center related projects lifecycle, from initial site due diligence through Construction and into Operation.

The position is part of the Strategic Programmes team, responsible for managing and executing strategic projects and programmes that create genuine value for the business and support the organisation’s strategy.


What you'll do

  • Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces.
  • Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote teams.
  • Responsible for end-to-end project delivery from pre-contract design up to final handover to Operations of Colo, & Owned Data Centers.
  • Follow and adhere to safety and security policies and procedures. Report immediately any safety or security issues or concerns.
  • Manage interface between internal (Real Estate, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Infrastructure Deployment, Networking, Operations, Security, Fiber, Finance etc.) and external stakeholders (Contractors, Colo Vendors, Suppliers) to ensure on time and on budget delivery of Data Center related projects.
  • Ensure adherence to internal project, procurement, and legal processes and governance.
  • Disseminate upwards communication and regular project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Participate in weekly update calls, providing relevant and up-to-date information.
  • Support the programme managers in programme-level decision-making and prioritisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Capture and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies in an organised manner.
  • Establish and manage overall plans with key stakeholders within third parties contracted for projects.
  • Track activities and manage stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
  • Build effective relationships and facilitate collaboration between stakeholders.


What you'll bring

  • Experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU) or working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling).
  • Personable character and excellent communicator with the ability to provide empathetic feedback, challenge, and influence others.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and adapt, seeking guidance and advice for complex or unexpected situations.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on Programme Management experience handling multiple, complex projects in the data centre, cloud and/or domains industries. Experience with complex new office builds, data centre builds/acquisitions, and company mergers/acquisitions is especially desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, credible and persuasive, with collaborative and influencing skills.
  • Highly organised, capable of getting things done in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple simultaneous projects, switch context, and adapt to change.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and in a matrix team environment.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Zona Franca processes and procedures.
  • Desirable: Expertise in IT and electrical and mechanical infrastructures. Professional PM Qualification will also be a nice to have (e.g., PMP, Prince 2, Agile Scrum Master, etc).
