For our tire testing department in the Tech & Mobility competence center, we are looking for a test driver with expertise in car tires and their purchase advice. Join the AUTO BILD team.
What you will be doing:
- You will be responsible for conducting tire tests under real conditions on our test tracks, in various weather conditions.
- You will evaluate the test data and document the test results.
- You will compare tires from different manufacturers regarding performance, driving comfort, safety, durability, handling, and fuel efficiency.
- You will take care of the entire logistics - from tire transport to storage.
- You will support the creation of test reports and inspection protocols.
- You will keep track of the latest developments and trends, maintain contacts with tire manufacturers, and visit relevant trade fairs.
What you bring:
- You impress with your technical understanding from your completed technical degree (e.g., mechanical engineering, automotive engineering) or a comparable education.
- You have experience in testing vehicle accessories, ideally in the field of car tires.
- You possess extensive driving experience and are familiar with handling vehicles even under extreme driving conditions - as a test driver or racing driver.
- Your passion is cars, technology, and tires: you are familiar with terms like tread depth measurement, aquaplaning, rolling resistance, and snowflake symbol.
- You use your analytical skills to understand technical details, measurement procedures, and test methods.
- You possess a valid Class B driver's license, ideally also Class C; test track licenses or racing licenses are a clear plus.
- You are open to travel; our test drives take place throughout Germany and occasionally abroad.
