The Role and What You’ll Do:
The Account Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day partnership activations of a client’s national and regional sports sponsorship initiatives. This position will work closely with the Vice President of the account on all strategic planning and execution.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of a client’s sports sponsorships. Interface with other Account Team members, client and all appropriate agencies/properties to support sponsorship initiatives.
- Participate in the development and implementation of sponsorship initiatives, including customized programs/promotions.
- Help manage the sponsorship measurement and return-on-investment process in conjunction with all programs.
- Manage client-vendor relationships and coordinate necessary activation deliverables on behalf of client.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of materials to support the sponsorship initiative. This will include preparing marketing activation presentations and materials to be distributed to the client, agencies and other counterparts.
- Interface and manage the internal creative team – writing creative briefs, assisting with preparation of creative presentations, and ensuring that the client’s brand is accurately represented.
- Liaise/interface with other agencies and internal 160over90 divisions as necessary.
- Support sponsorship tactical implementation/coordination at all events where agency staff is needed.
- Manage the client-property approvals process on behalf of client.
You Have These:
- A minimum of 6 - 8 years of agency or client-based sponsorship account management experience. Specific disciplines could include sponsorship marketing, event marketing, and/or sponsor servicing.
- League/team experience and understanding of the business of sports, sports media and sports marketing/sponsorship is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage the development and implementation of sponsorship marketing strategy on behalf of client or company.
- Ability to manage day-to-day relationships with client, agency(s) and vendors
- Participation in sponsorship contract negotiations.
- Experience with on-site event marketing operations and logistics.
- Experience with working with internal teams (account/creative) as well as other agency partners.
- Superior client relationship/service skills.
- Strong ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Ability to problem-solve independently and in groups.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent time management, written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time.

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.
Hiring Range Minimum:
$65,025 annually
Hiring Range Maximum:
$86,700 annually
