Job Description

The Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions (GCS) will work with small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to help them grow their advertising reach using Google Ads and other Google products. Responsibilities include delivering against ambitious growth targets, establishing client relationships, conducting sales consultations, owning a portfolio of SMB accounts, driving customer growth, and achieving customer business and marketing objectives. This role requires fluent communication in Portuguese and English, strong client relationship management skills, and a deep understanding of online advertising. The ideal candidate will possess experience in advertising, sales, marketing, consulting, or media, and ideally have experience with Google Ads and possess Google Digital Workshop certification or equivalent. Success in this role requires consistently exceeding quotas and building compelling narratives to engage clients.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English
  • Client relationship management skills
  • Achieve ambitious growth targets
Good to have:
  • Google Ads knowledge & Google Digital Workshop certification
  • Experience in Portugal and exceeding quotas
  • Storytelling & stakeholder influence skills
  • Strong multitasking and detail-oriented abilities

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, sales, marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Ability to communicate in Portuguese and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Google Ads and online advertising, with Google Digital Workshop certification or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Portugal, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time while paying attention to details.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth targets.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and sales pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the best return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, manage risks and build quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience, and achieve customer business and marketing objectives.
