AECOM is seeking an Architecture Designer I to be based in Boston, MA. The role involves working closely with a Senior Architect/Project Manager to independently prepare and present client-focused design solutions. Responsibilities include preparing contract drawings during all design phases, collaborating with internal and external teams, and preparing designs, renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and working drawings to illustrate design solutions. The candidate will also develop and document details to communicate design intent and adapt or modify design features under the direction of a project manager. Must have:
  • Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited university
  • Ability to prepare and present client-focused design solutions

Good to have:
  • Master of Architecture degree
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up
  • Proficiency with 3D modeling software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficient with Enscape or other rendering software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical skills in visualization, planning, architectural design

Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Architecture Designer I to be based in Boston, MA.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with a Senior Architect / Project Manager, independently prepare and present client-focused design solutions to project team members.
  • Preparing contract drawings during all design phases
  • May coordinate and collaborate in activities with employees in other disciplines and departments, internally and externally
  • Prepare designs, renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematics and working drawings to illustrate design solutions
  • Develop and document details to communicate design intent
  • Develop, adapt, or modify design features and details under the direction of a project manager, project designer, or project architect.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited university plus none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Architecture degree preferred
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up, or other 3D modeling software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Enscape, or other rendering software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills related to visualization, planning, and architectural design.

Additional Information

  • We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States.  Permanent residency sponsorship is available for current OPT, F1 or H1-B visa holders in the United States.

  • Relocation is not available for this position.
