Job Description

The Artist II creates high-quality game assets and animations. Responsibilities include developing and updating artwork for video-based gaming projects, focusing on content implementation pipelines, ensuring efficient asset management, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. The role requires strong experience with Adobe products (After Effects and Photoshop), 2D/3D game design, and asset control systems (like Perforce). The candidate should be detail-oriented, capable of meeting deadlines, and skilled in communication. Additional responsibilities may involve game documentation and process improvement.

Must have:

5-8 years experience in relevant field
Strong Adobe skills (After Effects, Photoshop)
2D/3D gaming and design experience
Asset control system experience (Perforce)
Excellent communication skills

Good to have:

Storyboarding skills
Agile Scrum experience

• The Technical Artist creates top quality games that push the boundaries of gaming entertainment. The person is responsible
for visual quality, bringing the team under a consistent and unified direction and utilizing groundbreaking techniques and tools.

• To configure asset structures and implement static and animating content to support Artist and game developers for Class 3
Games across different EGMs and be responsible for ensuring high quality standards of games being delivered.

What You'll Do

• Develop/Update artwork and animation for video-based gaming projects

• Focus on Content implementation pipeline

• Ensure relevant processes regarding asset management, file organization, output • configuration is clearly and correctly executed

• Schedule and manage time efficiently - work with agile development leaders to plan work
• Deliver assets on time to specification with a thorough and complete attention to detail
• Responsible for having peer reviews to check work for accuracy and quality
• Various other duties include:

Game Documentation as per business need
Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to achieve the highest quality games possible
Follow guidelines set by IndiSpice studio management to manage / develop art assets to support business
Bring in ideas/innovations to improve the overall process in terms of tools and processes

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree/BFA/MFA or equivalent work experience of 5-8 years in relevant field.
• Experience in 2D/3D gaming, 2D/3D game designing.
• Must have strong experience in Adobe products (After Effects and Photoshop).
• Ability to sketch or draw (digital or traditional) concepts and ideas, storyboarding is good to have.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with global stakeholders.
• Experience in using Assets control systems (like Perforce).
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies will be a plus.
• A good eye for attention to detail and be willing to follow technical/compliance specifications.
