Zinnia is seeking a Business Analyst to automate transaction workflows and improve processes. You will collaborate with Product and Operations teams to identify manual processes, document business requirements, and support bug analysis. The role involves translating business needs into automated solutions, supporting user acceptance testing, building documentation for automated processes, and using data to validate success and suggest improvements. Experience with SQL for data analysis is also required. This position offers the opportunity to work with innovative technologies in the life and annuities insurance sector.
Must have:

WHO YOU ARE:

We’re seeking a Business Analyst who thrives on solving problems, spotting inefficiencies, and improving processes through automation. You’ll work closely with Product and Operations teams to automate transaction workflows, identify bugs, and support root cause analysis. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Work with Product & Ops teams to identify manual, repetitive transaction processes ripe for automation
  • Document business requirements and functional specifications for automation of transaction flows
  • Analyze and investigate system/data issues, support bug identification and resolution tracking
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure business needs are translated accurately into automated solutions
  • Support UAT and validate outcomes for transaction-related automation fixes or improvements
  • Build documentation, workflows, and SOPs for automated processes
  • Use data to validate automation success, identify gaps, and suggest improvements
  • Write and run basic SQL queries to support analysis, data validation, and troubleshooting

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • A Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree with 4-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Insurance, BFSI, or SaaS environments
  • Prior exposure to automation of business processes/transactions, workflow tools etc.
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills – comfortable digging into issues and identifying patterns
  • Proven experience in bug tracking, triaging, and collaborating with QA or Engineering
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Excel/Sheets, and process mapping platforms
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Basic SQL for data extraction and analysis
