Job Description

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer Lead, you will design, develop, and implement robust BI solutions providing insights to leadership. This involves architecting data marts, constructing efficient data pipelines, and automating reporting processes. You'll transform data into compelling visualizations, helping stakeholders understand business impact. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial to deliver quality data solutions supporting growth objectives. Responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders to define KPI frameworks, developing robust data infrastructure (SQL scripts, datasets, models, dashboards), transforming data into insights via data models and automated reporting, and leading projects from conception to delivery, ensuring data solutions offer relevant insights to drive business growth. The role requires fluent English communication with US and Canada-based partners.

Must have:

10+ years in data modeling/BI projects
SQL query writing expertise
BI tool experience (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
Data structure/pipeline design
Fluent English communication

Good to have:

PhD in STEM
Data Science experience (Sales, Marketing, Customer Support)
NLP, LLMs, Generative AI, R experience
Data analysis & presentation skills
Data Science publications/presentations

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in data modeling, developing data sets, or leading BI projects.
Experience writing SQL queries.
Experience using BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI to create visualizations and dashboards.
Experience designing and building data structures, data pipelines, data marts, or data warehouses.
Ability to communicate in English fluently as this is a role that requires communication with US and Canada based partners.

Preferred qualifications:

PhD in a STEM field.
Experience in a Data Science role supporting Sales, Marketing, or Customer Support.
Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and R.
Experience drawing conclusions from data, breaking down technical concepts into simple terms, connecting with, and presenting to, technical and non-technical stakeholders, and recommending actions.
Publications related to Data Science, posters or presentations in AI/ML conferences, or patents.

Transform data into insights by developing data models, data marts, and automating reporting processes to provide leadership with a clear picture of business and process performance.
Lead assigned projects from conceptualization to delivery and ensure your data solutions offer relevant, quality data and insights to propel the growth of the business.
