The Role and Your Contribution:
The Marketing Cluster Category Manager functions as a key role in driving business development of Gaming categories (such as gaming mice, gaming keyboards, gaming headset, gaming wheel, gaming microphone, etc), and establishing Logicool G as leading brands in the category.
This position works closely with different functions including Global teams and Regional team, Japan sales teams, Japan communication managers, and other supporting teams to drive the category strategy into action and lead to develop marketing programs to ensure the achievement of the category P&L target. S/he needs the integrated capabilities and should have a strong mind of ownership and self-motivation.
You will report to the Senior Cluster Category Manager of Gaming categories, who reports to the Marketing Director of Logicool Japan in charge of all categories including Gaming and non-Gaming.
Your Contribution:
• Responsible for managing category P&L in charge (the specific categories are to be assigned from the total multiple gaming categories), marcom budget, product portfolio, pricing strategy, go-to-market strategy, new product launches for the categories in charge, inventory, and supply.
• Responsible for developing marketing strategies, giving directions of marketing programs to and collaborating with the category marketing managers, and online/offline sales teams.
Key Qualifications:
• Deep experience, knowledge, and passion toward PC gaming, especially FPS/TPS (Valorant, Apex Legends, Fortnite, etc), eSports, and streamers is critical, be it professionally or personally. Knowledge and passion for other game categories and platforms (Playstation, Switch, etc) are also a huge plus.
• 5+ years of experience in the brand/product marketing, merchandisers, or sales planning (営業企画・営業推進) functions, in charge of the below.
• Experience of management of a specific category/product with P/L responsibility as 4P lead
• Ability to view issues from a broad strategic perspective and strong experience in problem solving, influencing and decision making, specifically:
Strong data analysis skills (including robust advanced Excel/Google Sheet skills such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence an organization in a matrix organization (including Powerpoint/Google Slide skills).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams, both functionally and geographically is critical.
• Experience on developing marketing plans and 360 marketing campaigns with full marketing mix is a big plus
• Self-management skills and self-started attitude highly valued
• English fluent verbally and written is a must
