Job Description

The Computer Operator I - DCA position at IGT requires a two-year technical college degree or equivalent experience (1-4 years). Responsibilities involve navigating Unix/Linux (Red Hat)/AIX/VMS/DOS, working with VMware environments and monitoring tools, utilizing FTP/SFTP protocols, and possessing knowledge of Retailer POS, call center tools, and various monitoring systems (Tivoli, Nagios, OP5, SolarWinds, etc.). The role demands excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to monitor and troubleshoot multiple technologies. Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively, make sound decisions, drive results, foster innovation, demonstrate high energy, and exhibit self-leadership.
Must have:
  • Unix/Linux/AIX/VMS/DOS navigation

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Two-year technical college degree or comparable experience of one - four years.
  • Able to navigate through Unix/Linux (Red Hat)/AIX/VMS/DOS and perform basic commands.
  • Working knowledge of VMware environments, VMware monitoring tools, FTP/SFTP protocols with an understanding or intermediate knowledge of Retailer POS, call center tools/functions, Tivoli, Nagios, OP5, SolarWinds, RUnscope, Monitis, Symantec Veritas, and Jira.
  • Knowledge of business administration systems (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Excellent written/oral reporting skills, interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization/customers, and where applicable, must be able to monitor and troubleshoot multiple technologies.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $31,096 - $67,496. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
