Job Description

The Engineering Manager will lead engineering efforts across product areas. Responsibilities include technical leadership, guiding architecture, team development, performance management, stakeholder collaboration, process optimization, and hands-on support. The manager will identify roadblocks, implement solutions, recruit, mentor engineers, evaluate team performance, improve workflows, and participate in code reviews. The role requires strong communication, collaboration, proactivity, sense of ownership, flexibility, adaptability, product-orientedness and self-awareness.
Must have:
  • 3+ years leading cross-functional development teams.
  • Expertise in software development and architecture design.
  • Familiarity with PHP as a developer or manager.
  • Experience improving development processes and team efficiency.
  • Ability to foster relationships with product and engineering managers.
  • Experience in Agile values and principles.

We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead our engineering efforts across product areas.

WHAT YOU'LL DO πŸš€

  • Technical Leadership: Guide architecture and technical decisions to ensure scalability and best practices. Identify roadblocks and implement solutions to keep teams on track.
  • Team Development: plan team growth, recruit, mentor, and motivate engineers while fostering a strong feedback culture.
  • Performance Management: Evaluate and enhance team performance through regular feedback culture.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Align with the Area Product Owner and Engineering Managers on long-term strategy and OKRs. 
  • Process Optimisation: Improve workflows to elevate team efficiency. Lead the team through evolving challenges and drive innovation. 
  • Hands-On Support: Participate in code reviews, system design, and occasional coding to coach the team.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING πŸ’₯

  • 3+ years of successfully leading and scaling cross functional development teams with backend and frontend scope as an Engineering Manager
  • Outstanding expertise in software development and architecture design, experience with high load is a plus
  • Familiarity with PHP as a developer or a manager
  • Track of record improving development engineering processes and increasing team efficiency Ability to foster trustful relationships with Product organisation and Engineering managers
  • Experience in Agile values and principles
