Summary

The Field Service Technician II is responsible for all activities at Casino and Bingo sites in the greater Toronto area and Eastern Canada. This role involves the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrading of IGT gaming devices. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, responding to customer issues, supporting software integration tests, and providing customer training. The technician will use SAP and CADENCE programs for tracking and reporting, conduct site assessments, and ensure compliance with jurisdictional policies. The position requires experience in electronics repair, troubleshooting to the component level, and familiarity with testing programs.
Must have:
  • Troubleshooting & repair of electronic equipment
  • Experience with IGT equipment preferred
  • AC/DC fundamentals & wiring diagram reading
  • Testing programs (Kobetron, Chip Comparator)
  • Preventative maintenance & installation
  • Valid driver's license & clean driving record
  • Able to lift 50lbs or more

Overview

The Casino Services Field Technician is autonomous and responsible for all activities at Casino and Bingo sites in the greater Toronto area and Eastern Canada provinces. Preparation, installation, troubleshooting to the component/circuit level. Servicing remotely and onsite with the ability to diagnose and solve problems. Maintain, upgrade and convert IGT gaming devices, while representing IGT at the customer site and maintaining a positive relationship with the client. Provide initial and ongoing customer training on basic game functionality. Adapt to various jurisdictions and adhere to compliance policies.

Responsibilities

•    Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, preventive maintenance and installation of gaming equipment and communication devices used at the customer location. 
•    Performs all preparation tests including assurance hardware, firmware and system interfaces are accurate and functional. 
•    Carries out assigned portion of hardware and software conversions and upgrades. 
•    Performs planned and preventative maintenance. 
•    Responds to customer issues for games and system interface 
•    Supports software and system integration verification tests for jackpots. 
•    Performs accurate and timely tracking and reporting on activities utilizing SAP and CADENCE programs and other software tools. 
•    Occasionally makes pre-installation site assessments to identify parts and wiring requirements at customer location. 
•    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

•    High school diploma or equivalent required
•    2-4 years of experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electronics, electro-mechanical, telecom or computer equipment required preferable with IGT equipment and gaming system products. 
•    Experience with AC/DC fundamentals. 
•    Reading and translating wiring diagrams. 
•    Maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting to component/circuit level. 
•    Testing programs with verification devices such as Kobetron and Chip Comparator •    Troubleshooting with input and output tests. 

•    Preferably located in Greater Toronto Area Eastern cities: Scarborough, Pickering, Oshawa

•    Valid driver license and clean driving record 
•    Able to obtain a Gaming License 
•    Must be at least 21 years of age. 
•    Able to lift 50 lbs. or more. 
•    Pass a background check. 
•    Work overtime as required. 
•    Available to work on weekends. 
•    Able to stand for an eight-hour shift.  
•    Some Travel required.
