About This Role

                                                                                                         

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing IT users with end user client equipment and support, determining user needs and incorporating them into the design and overall plan for the region. The range of accountabilities minimally covers hardware and software planning, vendor selection, acquisition, Tier 2 problem resolution, set-up, integration, testing and installation.
  • Organizes and coordinates the activities associated with installation, deployment and upgrade of software, hardware and network facilities as it relates to the desktop environment.
  • Manages the activities and personnel associated with providing technical services by identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems with site operations, servers, storage/backup and network/telecom systems
  • Ensures reliability and availability of complex infrastructure platforms and services to meet business goals, DR, and/or SLAs
  • Oversee the regional IT lifecycle management
  • Assists in the development of solutions aligned with the business requirements and provides strategic management and objectives for the region
  • Regional IT Leads Liaison to and from the business unit matrix reporting - Works with organizations supported to establish performance metrics to ensure needs are being properly met. Monitors and analyzes performance metrics, sharing results with users.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient infrastructure operation within the enterprise
  • Provides technology direction and assists in the preparation of IT strategy / roadmap / standards / policies / methodologies and best practices
  • Domestic and Overseas travel may be required (~10%).

Education and Experience:

  • College/Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in team management and in staff training & development.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing development and maintenance of complex business systems and/or associated applicationsM&A Infrastructure experience, Excellent knowledge of networking technologies (switches, routers, firewalls, IP Telephony) and WAN/LAN implementation, storage/backup technologies and industry trends, Microsoft Back Office products (Systems Centre suite, Email, Operating Systems, Directory …etc), system lifecycle management, infrastructure planning & operations
  • Excellent organizational, communication end-user support, project administration skills required to work across IT groups bringing innovation, creativity and process management
  • Excellent knowledge of maintaining corporate documentations and procedures following group standards and policies. Adapting to changes within the organization.
  • Experience in managing support operation in a 24x7, multi-site environment
  • Experience with budgeting, expense management and contract management
  • Experience with managing teams and projects in multiple technological and business environments.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) to bridge gaps between the business and technical people.
