Nielsen is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Partnerships to lead our partnerships team. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic partnerships, working closely with corp dev in evaluating companies for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and driving collaboration across the digital advertising ecosystem creating win-win opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ad tech, including experience working with Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs), ad servers, MVPDs, and data partners.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Partnerships Development: Build, maintain, and expand partnerships with key players in the ad tech ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, and data providers. Identify and negotiate high-impact partnerships that drive business growth and enhance the company’s competitive position. Foster long-term relationships with partners to ensure sustained collaboration and value creation.
M&A and Market Evaluation: Identify, evaluate, and recommend potential M&A opportunities within the ad tech space. Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential acquisition targets, assessing strategic fit, financial performance, and technical compatibility. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and product, to execute M&A deals.
Collaboration Across Ecosystem: Work closely with internal product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure partnerships align with company objectives and deliver value to clients. Drive innovation by leveraging partnerships to enhance product offerings and stay ahead of market trends. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in ad tech, with a proven track record in strategic partnerships, business development, or M&A.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to lead,inspire and motivate global cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious & shared goals. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing partnerships team with clear strategic objectives & goals.
- Proven networking skills and ability to develop strong partnerships by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, and working with data partners.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex negotiations and forming long-term partnerships.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to think long-term while executing with excellence in the short term.
- Strong understanding of the ad tech ecosystem, including programmatic advertising, data integration, and monetization strategies.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to assess market opportunities and M&A targets.
- Strong communication skills to effectively.
