This HR Business Partner role at Ziff Davis Shopping involves leading People initiatives across assigned US business groups. Responsibilities include partnering with leadership to define metrics, develop talent strategies, manage compensation planning, improve retention and engagement, and guide organization design and development. The role also includes employee relations, mediating disputes, and implementing organization-wide plans. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of HR experience (2+ years as an HRBP), expertise in change management and leadership development, and a strong understanding of employment laws. Experience with acquisitions and cross-functional teams is essential. This role requires strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ziff Davis Shopping helps millions of shoppers discover and save, delivering exceptional consumer and merchant-advertiser experiences across a portfolio of leading mobile and ecommerce brands. Our domestic brands include RetailMeNot, Offers.com, Blackfriday.com, TechBargains and more. We also run the leading Cash Back, Reward and Coupon codes brand in the UK (Voucher Codes).
We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our People Team. In this role, you will lead all People initiatives and activities within your assigned US-based business groups. Our ideal candidate is someone who can contribute at both a strategic and hands-on level to develop and deliver talent strategies that support strategic objectives.
Who You Are:
  • A Trusted Partner: You will forge positive relationships with employees at all levels while working to identify and develop key HR initiatives and processes with the leadership team.
  • An Active Coach & Needle-Mover: You will be coaching managers on a daily basis to build high-performing teams and an environment of continuous employee development. 
  • A Facilitator and Subject-Matter Expert: You have a passion for L&D and enjoy building and delivering best-practice-based training to developing managers and employees.
  • An Analytical Problem Solver: Your step-by-step approach to thinking allows you to understand HR policies and implications. You solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of HR experience (2 years of that in a HRBP role) with expertise in change management and leadership development

  

Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a constantly evolving work environment with significant acquisition activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work and to achieve results with cross-functional teams
  • Confident and proactive employee relations focus, coupled with ability to mediate and establish consensus accordingly
  • Strong attitude for continuous improvement and driven to exceed client expectations
  • Strong discernment; able to translate business strategy into HR initiatives, recommending innovative approaches
  • Effective project management skills
  • Proven, comprehensive understanding of federal/state labor and employment laws
  • Experience with immigration and sponsorship processes is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to influence and negotiate across teams.

  

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead in the planning, design, implementation, communication and delivery of ZD Shopping’s People initiatives to support current and future business needs
  • Partner with leadership to define and develop appropriate metrics to drive the business, establish team & individual performance goals and guide decision-making
  • Compensation planning: ensure compensation and incentive recommendations attract and reward talent appropriately and aligned to company budgets
  • Retention and engagement: engage the business to understand key drivers of engagement & retention; develop appropriate actions plans in collaboration with business leaders
  • Organization design & development: develop people strategies and organization design; ensure development programs/plans are aligned to business strategies and ensure talent “pipeline” provides individual career development opportunities
  • Employee relations: provide mentorship, guidance and advice to management and employees on ER issues; ensure effective communication within assigned customer groups
  • Effectively run organization-wide plans that impact multiple business units and functions globally
