HR Specialist
At Western Digital's Fujisawa office, a key development base for hard disk drives (HDDs), you will primarily provide appropriate support to leadership for talent development, global HR program deployment, and various HR initiatives as a Japanese corporation. Specifically, as follows:
- Participate in various HR programs planned and deployed globally, provide necessary and appropriate input from the perspective of Japanese laws and regulations, and support each department in deploying and implementing decided programs in Japan.
- Analyze issues in various HR areas, focusing on labor relations and education, and collaborate with domestic and international COEs to plan, propose, and implement concrete measures.
- As a team member, lead other members and be responsible for the following:
- Revising work rules, labor-management negotiations, and other various labor relations responses.
- Effectively promoting global educational content in Japan (e.g., performance management), planning, promoting, and operating education within the Japanese corporation.
- Promoting data-driven transformation.
Job Description
As a Leadership Support Specialist, play a pivotal role in driving organizational success by providing dedicated support to our leadership team. This position blends HR expertise with real-time coaching to leaders to help to facilitate the growth and development of our leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR program Support: Support site-leaders through consulting to help them participate in key global HR programs (i.e. Training, Performance Management, Compliance etc.) and provide guidance to the leaders on how to execute key programs. Partnering with key stakeholders, plan, design and execute local HR programs to support business and supplement global HR programs
- Compliance and Audit Support: Manage key compliance and audit activities in Japan regarding labor related areas in partnership with Legal.
- Collaborate: Collaborate across HR, Legal, and other functions both locally and globally to deliver intended outcomes.
- Change Management: Support leaders in navigating organizational changes and transformations. Help communicate change initiatives effectively, address concerns, and mitigate resistance to change within leadership ranks.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize HR analytics and data to provide insights into leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and organizational health. Leverage data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in leadership practices.
