Job Description
Join Amber as a Korean QA Tester! As a meticulous detective, you will find the smallest issues others miss, and consider bugs your personal nemesis. Conduct comprehensive testing on major console platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Discover defects, analyze root causes, and report them accurately. You will execute test cases, provide valuable insights on game playability, and deliver feedback. Work with a dynamic community of artisans.
Must have:
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes
- Experience testing games on console platforms
- Understanding of console certification requirements
- Experience with games in various development phases
- Ability to identify, research, document and communicate defects effectively
- Competence in test case management
- Strong prioritization skills
- Good communication skills in English
- Native Korean speaker
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach
Good to have:
- Experience with test case creation and basic test planning
- Previous experience with multiple console platforms
- Understanding of platform-specific requirements and limitations
- Experience testing premium and free-to-play titles
- Ability to analyze in-game economy and monetization systems

The Quest:
- Conduct comprehensive testing (Functionality, Compatibility, Explorative, Usability and Regression)
- Discover defects using established methodologies and innovative approaches
- Trace, analyze and identify root causes of issues and report them accurately
- Execute assigned test cases with precision and attention to detail
- Organize workload as directed by the Test Lead
- Provide valuable insights on game playability and user experience
- Deliver consistent and relevant feedback regarding progress, risks, and needs
The Skills:
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes and methodologies
- Experience testing games on console platforms
- Understanding of console certification requirements
- Experience with games in various development phases, from pre-alpha to live
- Ability to identify, research, document and communicate defects effectively
- Competence in test case management within designated timeframes
- Strong prioritization skills in fast-paced environments
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Native Korean speaker
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Passion for delivering high-quality gaming experiences
- Enthusiasm for console gaming and hardware
- Ability to learn quickly, plan effectively and stay organized
