Responsibilities include charting progress notes, administering medications, assisting with documentation, and identifying resident needs.
Must have:
  • Chart interdisciplinary progress notes to reflect resident care.
  • Prepare and administer medications/treatments as ordered by a physician.
  • Ensure drug & narcotic records are accurate and up to date for each shift.
  • Appropriately dispose of drugs & narcotics.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing with documentation as required by PA 2600.
  • Assist the Personal Care team to identify resident needs.
  • Current PA Licensed Practical Nurse License.
  • Current CPR Certification.

Job Description

  • Chart interdisciplinary progress notes in an informative and descriptive manner to reflect resident care.
  • Prepare and administer medications/treatments as ordered by a physician; Ensure drug & narcotic records are accurate and up to date for each shift; notify nurse manager of discrepancies; appropriately dispose of drugs & narcotics.
  • Assists the Director of Nursing with completion of documentation as required by the Department of Human Services, PA 2600.
  • Assists the Personal Care team to identify the physical, social, nutritional, spiritual, and activity needs of residents.

Qualifications

  • Current PA Licensed Practical Nurse License.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Experience in Personal Care or Assisted Living preferred.
